Collaboration, Patience and Persistence: How Detroit is Transforming America’s Health
Rethinking and transforming the state of public health requires collaboration, patience and persistence. Most barriers to improving health are related to social determinants: housing instability, food insecurity, transportation and education. These are also keys to improving health outcomes and why institutions must collaborate. In Detroit, Public health is an ecosystem which includes businesses, schools, government and philanthropy working together to leverage data and resources to work toward solutions. This panel of local leaders will discuss how institutions are working together to improve health outcomes and drive change in Detroit and across the nation.
